Publishing and Procrastination

so. long time, no see, eh?

briefly, i'll give you the list of shizz that will comprise my schedule for the next few months:
  1. applying for the MFA program at the Union Institute & University at Vermont College, a low-residency, primarily online, two-year degree that will make me much more employable at the high school level
  2. publishing Surafrica through a self publisher. i'm hoping to submit a manuscript to them by the end of january.

Inauguralia

i am certain that the title of this post is not a word, but there are times in the lives of men that require improvisation, ingenuity; the determination to shoulder the burden of one's detractors and to absorb the criticism of one's peers.

this is not one of those times.

this blog is intended to chronicle my trials and tribulations on the way toward some vague approximation of a literary career. i don't intend to make a living on my writing, but a little extra income here and there won't hurt, and if i can finagle some notoriety out of it; well, hell, i'll be tickled pink.
